Production Blog



Hey guys its me and today I decided to start the production of my very first commercial. Although to be completely honest I am a bit worried and skeptical on whether or not its going to work as I want to.

In order to make the commercial I looked into different apps and websites that could be used to create a commercial. At first I saw more websites explaining how to make a website that a ad so I had to reword my question. I found a website called onlineadmaker.com but I don't know much about the website and it looked kind of hard to use. I found an app called VEED.IO it had a 4.9 star review and looked really cool to use and I was excited to use it. I was going to choose that one until my friend told me she wasn't really a fan of the app. 

I eventually remembered that I had done adobe photoshop and I thought that maybe I could use it but then I remembered you can not use videos with that app. I considered trying to learn how to use another adobe app that used both video and image but I realized it would take two long to learn how to use that app. I came up empty handed until one day when I went to lunch with my friend and she showed me this app called Cap Cut. I instantly downloaded the app on my phone and gave it access to my photos and video so that I could create the commercial.

Then I started looking for photos but the more I looked at then the more uncertain I became. I was worried that the videos that I had would not work well with the music and as mentioned before I do not have much videos of myself. So I had to consider the option of creating a new video I eventually decided otherwise and decided to ask my family again for videos. I had to wait until until Wednesday to be able to do so since its easier to choose one without them scrolling to far in their phones to find some.

Then came the problem that I do not know how to use Cap Cut so I decided to watch videos on how to do it. I also asked my friend and she showed me how to do it as she created and edit of one her favorite singers. I also looked over other music choices in case I changed my mind and looked for some popular songs. I decided on Happy by Pharrell Williams and cooler than me by Mike Posner as they both have good rhythm and an upbeat melody.

I was happy with what I have now and decided I wanted to start completing my commercial.

Production Blog: Music Video

Hey blog it me coming again with my last blog for this project Today I cut all the dance scene since I the music video was too long and I needed it to fit in the given time range.  Then there was the issue of the music I had some trouble getting the sound onto the music video. Since Cap cut didn't have the correct song for the music video I went to a few websites and streaming platforms to get the song. That didn't work so I had to download an app that allowed me to record the song then add it to the music video. It took a while for me to get the hang of the app since I had to record the song like three times. The first time the video wouldn't stop so it recorded and unnecessary amount of the music video.   Hello World,   My group and I got to the part of our project where we got to make a storyboard for our music video. Each box is a scene that will occur in our music video in the future, each scene will be a sequence of events.   Box 1: Justin Bieber (JB) is walking into a library with his two friends to study.   Box 2: The three boys walk into the library and JB notices that his crush is studying at the library as well.
