Production Blog: Music Video

Hey blog it me coming again with my last blog for this project

Today I cut all the dance scene since I the music video was too long and I needed it to fit in the given time range.

Then there was the issue of the music I had some trouble getting the sound onto the music video. Since Cap cut didn't have the correct song for the music video I went to a few websites and streaming platforms to get the song. That didn't work so I had to download an app that allowed me to record the song then add it to the music video.

It took a while for me to get the hang of the app since I had to record the song like three times. The first time the video wouldn't stop so it recorded and unnecessary amount of the music video. The second time I recorded the song I realize you couldn't really hear the song so I had to make a few adjustments to the app. Eventually I was able to get the song to be heard on the recording it turns out all I had to do was switch the audio setting. The third time everything worked perfectly except the I started the song at the wrong time so i had to film it again. By the fourth time everything went perfectly so I used the song in music video and adjusted it to fit the music video.

By this time I realized that the music video was still too long so I had to crop out some scenes. I had to cut a whole escalator scene of the two main character walking together to find a place ton sit. Then I had to crop the scene of the female character running from the male lead down the stairs. I also had to crop the scene of the female lead running from the male lead in front of Barnes and Nobles. I also had to crop the scenes of them talking and eating together at the dining station.

As for effects I wanted the music video to give the feeling of a tv show. So at the beginning and the end of the music video I added tv static effects which also works as a good opening and closing transition. I also added tv sound effects which sounds like the tv got no signal to give the feeling of a tv show being quickly cut.

My next blog will include the music video so look out for it!
