Production Blog: Final Task

Hey guys its your favorite blogger coming in with a new blog!

Today we finished filming all the scenes we couldn't finish on our last filming day.

Since there was only a few scenes left, great care was taken to make sure these last few scenes were shot perfectly.  The scenes that were filmed today included any and all flash back and running scenes. This was very difficult due to location and schedule conflicts but eventually we decided on a good day to film. Some of these scenes were shot at a church since that would make the flashback scene seem more realistic. It does this by providing a location change different from any of our previous known locations like Target of Giovanna's home.

We kind of got this out of a random place though, I really didn't think we needed a different location but after some thought I think it makes sense. By having this scene take place in a different location it would make it seem that our protagonist could not have known what would happen. Seeing as he would not be anywhere in the vicinity at the time of when the scene was taking place. Once we reached the church we had to find a good place that had great lighting so the scene wouldn't seem to dreary or too vibrant. It didn't take too long to finish the flashback scene if anything the scene was probably around five minutes.

Since Madelyn our, our teams Filmer aka the person who filmed the majority of these shots, was in charge of angles. She decided to film at a medium close- up, this was a great idea as it helps the viewer to focus on the character. It also helps that if anyone would walk behind us while filming they wouldn't really show up on the camera.

After filming we went back to Giovanna's house to film the other half of the flashback scene from Giovanna's point of view. For this Madelyn our tech person thought it was best to do a split scene for this scene and of course it was a great idea.

While at Giovanna's house we also filmed the running scene where our protagonist would run after seeing our antagonist. This was a bit more difficult since there was a reflective surface close by that would keep showing either Madelyn or one of us. Which of course would ruin the viewers experience as well as the magic of production.
