Production Blog: Final Task

Hey guys guess what, its your favorite blogger coming in with a new blog!

Today i wanted to talk about the editing process for how the opening sequence was made. While editing the film the first thing I had to do was organize the scenes sent to me in order of beginning to end. This was quite difficult since we had shot around thirty-three scenes, all were sent in a random order.
Not to mention the fact that we had to film multiple takes of the same scene over and over again. Sometimes it would take up to ten minutes just to film one scene other times it would take thirty minutes. For example the bedroom scene when our protagonist would enter his sisters room to question the friend group.

We also had the issue that some of our cast members kept laughing during some of our scenes. While this was okay since some of scenarios were kind of funny, it also took a huge chunk out of our time. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get all of the scenes filmed during this time so we will have to find another day to film.

After organizing the scenes and choosing between each takes that were filmed the best. I started to edit some of the audio scene where background noises were heard in the scenes

After that I started cutting some of the scene where " action" or "go was heard to signal the beginning of the scenes. I also shortened the scenes that took too long to start or too long to end. Which in other words mean that it took far too much of our opening sequence time.

After doing that it was still a little bit long so I might have to speed up some of the scenes. Like the scene where the protagonist sees the antagonist for the outside his house. I also was thinking of shortening the scene where the protagonist asks his sisters friend group if they were in his room again. This is because that is one of the if not the longest scenes in the opening sequence of the film.

After doing that I will probably start on the search for the background music for the film.
